The Rosa Parks of the Short Bus
You know, normally this journal is very full of many of my innermost thoughts. It's a highly personal and open environment -- well, open more to a particular inner circle than to just anyone -- and I like to think that it's part of why people continue to read

Thanks Alice...  )

Back in 2007, a friend of mine put together a "Wedding Emergency Kit" as a wedding gift to me. Funny because she put everything in little baggies and labeled them. VERY OCD. But, a lot of the stuff I didn't use, so I took a photo since I realized much of it could be utilized in a "Dragoncon Survival Kit" . I've used it as a reference every year since I'm ALWAYS forgetting stuff.

I'm still hashing this out yet, but right now it looks like:

Thursday night: Not sure yet.

Friday: I'm doing my Evil Queen (gonna scary her up a bit this year), and I already have me a badass Jafar (Mike), so maybe we'll try and get a classic Disney Villains group together if anyone is interested. P.S. if any of you ladies do great makeup, I'd LOVE for you to do me as Evil Queen, as my makeup skills are average at best :)

Friday Night: Dogwitch, with Bluebell ([info]abreeskye), but in a raggedy and bloody pink bunny suit .. THAT is gonna be FUN!

Saturday Parade: I'll be watching it from my window as I'll be still drunk and hung over :P

Saturday day/Night: Blood Angel. Depending on how early Dean and Chris *(Evil Fire Lizard)* paint me up, I may be running around in this all day, it all depends on how well the makeup holds up. So if there's any Dark Ivory characters out there, lemme know :) If it doesn't hold up, I may do my classic Dogwitch that night later on, (complete with Bluebell) so if there's a Mr. Kinky out there... :)

Sunday: I hear there is the big GI Joe/Cobra group on Sunday, so if that's the case, that's when I'll do my Crimson Baroness .. and if anyone wantsa meet up that's doing a GI Joe or Cobra character that day, lemme know :)

Sunday night: No idea yet.. probably Misty Knight if I don't do her Saturday Day. It depends on who else is gonna be involved. I'm hoping to hook up with any of the Daughters of the Dragon or Heroes for Hire (aka Colleen Wing ([info]ladyriv possibly), Black Cat (I know a couple of you spoke up about her...), Tarantula, Iron Fist, Luke Cage, Humbug, Master of Kung-fu, etc.)

I still hafta work on a to-do list for each costume as well, and figger out budget...

I've spoken to [info]threemuses, who it seems it the costumer of choice for [info]bikingbettie. I had no idea it was Candy who has done the Spanish Rose Dawn (my personal fave), and a plethora of other costumes which are AMAZING.

Wanna see her stuff?

Here I fell in love. We are in negotiations, and I decided it would be best to start on Crimson Baroness, since that's more of an original design, and not a comic-accurate costume. I'm MEGA excited to be working with her.

But I wanted to flesh out some of the aspects of the design I want with Baroness ... as always, I very much appreciate and value any thoughts or opinions you may have...

Complete with photos of me in it the last time I wore it, so you can see what it looks like.
This was made in 2003, and is a replica of Yvonne Craig's Batgirl (as inspected by Yvonne herself, just except for the boots). It was done by Kelly Delcambre of KMD Theatrics, and has been worn about a half dozen times. The shoes need a repaint (they're a size 9), and the bodysuit as you can see is wearing thin. I can direct you to someone who can recreate a new custom one for you for about $150 I believe. I can also include a 38C bullet bra too, if desired (I won't use it for anything else). This includes the wig, cowl, cape, bodysuit with two extra insignias, the gloves (I have an extra one for some reason), the boots, the utility belt (with functioning pockets!)... I paid $1000 for it and she was my first baby. So I'm looking for $650 500 for all of it OBO. I have have a Batarang around here too, I just hafta find it. And if I find that extra glove I'll toss that in too. That also includes the cowl/wig stand. Any questions, ask away.

I'm also open to selling it by the piece as well, so don't be shy. You guys get first dibs.

On ebay The cowl alone is going for about half of that

It's insane, but I've already packed some for Dragoncon (go Productive Me!). Well it's not THAT good, most of it was a "Dragoncon Survival Kit". I took a photo. Basically my darling saviour OCD friend, [info]missyanthrope, as a wedding gift to us, put together a "Wedding Day Emergency Kit". Funny because she put everything in little baggies and labeled them. VERY OCD. But, a lot of the stuff I didn't use, and it'll work for DC as well, in addition to the stuff I had last year.
